Gel Printing

Discover the versatile world of gel printing in this hands-on creative workshop! Gel printing is a fun, intuitive process that allows artists of all levels to create unique, vibrant prints with endless possibilities.
In this class, you'll learn how to use a gel plate as your printing surface to create stunning prints through a variety of techniques:
Create patterns and designs using stencils
Capture the delicate details of botanicals like leaves and flowers
Explore masking techniques to build layered compositions
Add textures using everyday objects
Transfer images for added depth and interest
Experiment with color blending for vibrant, unexpected results
Each participant will leave with multiple original prints that can be used as standalone art pieces or incorporated into your paintings, collages, and mixed media projects. This technique is particularly popular with students for its spontaneous nature and surprising outcomes.
No prior experience is necessary—just bring your curiosity and prepare to get your hands colorful!

Ignite your creativity in this playful abstract painting class. Students will experiment with acrylics, acrylic mediums (gels and texture pastes),collage and mark-making tools. Presentations will introduce you to the fundamentals of abstraction, as well as, a variety of different artists and compositions. Many exercises are offered and designed to explore the Elements of Art and different approaches to start an abstract painting. Let your imagination flow while expanding your artistic techniques and developing a new visual language of your own. You will add new techniques to your existing painting skills or begin your journey into painting (all levels welcome).

About the Instructor:
As a corporate trainer, Anne has been teaching for over 30 years. As a professional artist, her art has been represented in more than 70 galleries across the country. Anne’s interest in art spawned when she was a young girl. She was fortunate to be surrounded by creative family members who encouraged exploring many types of mediums: pottery, weaving, jewelry making, stained glass, fused-glass, acrylics, watercolor, silk painting, pastels, and most recently mixed media. Creating abstract art allows her to be intuitive, harness imagination, and not become attached to a specific outcome.
